The American defines the modern American classic through a thoughtful and faithful design evolution. All features have been reconsidered beginning with our highly constructed 97% cotton, 3% stretch twill which allows for a classic tailored fit through the rise, seat and leg without sacrificing comfort and mobility. The slightly tapered bottom leg opening wears well with most footwear including mocs, sneakers, chukkas and boots.

Our waist sizes are cut an industry standard + 1” over the marked size.
If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up not down.

Fit model is 6'2" and wearing a size 36. 

Our products are shipped open bottom with a 36” Inseam for you to tailor to your length measurements and hem style preferences.

I have a lot of Bill's Khakis from 2017 and before. Lost 30 pounds on Mounjaro. Was concerned that The American would be tight around the legs. I am 74, weigh 185 and purchased The American in Dark Khaki. The material is really comfortable, and wonderful fit! I've also purchased The Plainsman in Marine and Khaki and The Authentic in Stone plus two Club shorts - Marine and Stone. Can't say enough good things about all these products! Very Very Happy.
